Toshiba TDP-WX5400U: Dual Lamp Large Venue Projector

Toshiba TDP-WX5400U Large Venue Projector: Features dual 280W lamps for a higher maximum brightness when used together. With both shining, the new projector sports a resolution of 5,400 lumens, and exactly half that, 2,700 lumens, when one is on. An added benefit of the dual-lamp set-up is the ability to continue a presentation on one lamp if the other burns out. To give users the flexibility of optimizing color and brightness settings, the TDP-WX5400U can be outfitted with one of two color wheels; a six-segment RGBCMY wheel and a standard four-segment RGBW wheel.

The projector is also capable of displaying wide 1280x800 resolution images at a 16:10 aspect ratio. Set-up is made easier thanks to automatic keystone correction that can adjust for angles up to 40 degrees in the vertical or 35 degrees in the horizontal to throw up a square image. The projector's filter-free design eliminates a wearable part and keeps dust from collecting on the imaging elements. Toshiba's DLP BrilliantColor technology uses red, blue, green, cyan, yellow and magenta to produce more accurate colors, while the company's DynamicBlack technology endows the projector with a contrast ratio of 2,400:1. Users can also order five optional lenses.

Video inputs include DVI-D with HDCP, a VGA port, five BNC plugs, a component, S-video and composite video. A mini-jack triggers motorized screens. A pair of 3W speakers provides sound, with the signal coming via two pairs of RCA inputs or three stereo jacks. An Ethernet port allows the projector to be connected to networks. For security, there is password protection, projection lens lock and a Kensington lock. The projector is available for purchase now, priced at $6,229.
