Sony Ericsson Unveil Surprise QWERTY
It seems as though every time someone releases a touchscreen mobile phone it’s immediately dubbed ‘iPhone killer’, a term that’s banded around all too easily. With its Xperia X1 ‘arc slider’ phone though, we think Sony Ericsson is actually quite justified in receiving the moniker.
One of the highlights of the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona, the flagship model from the Xperia range features a 3″ 800×480 touchscreen display, slide-out full QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2MP auto focus camera. There’s 400MB of built in memory with Micro SD card support, feature assisted GPS and a wide range of connectivity that includes quad-band 3G HSDPA and HSUPA, GMS/GPRS/Edge, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with full stereo streaming.
