ViewSonic Launched the VieBook Mini Notebook Computer

At the Customer Electronics Show 2009, ViewSonic introduced a brand new mini notebook computer powered by Intel Atom, which will be available next month at an introductory price of $429.






The 10.2-inch VieBook of 2.6 pounds operates at 1.6GHz processing speeds with 1GB of system memory, 160GB of hard drive, a 10/100 Ethernet LAN connection, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in 1.3MP web camera, the 4-in-1 card reader, for up to 4 hours of continuous use. It comes with the Windows XP Home Edition operating system pre-installed.

In addition to the mini notebook computer, ViewSonic revealed the ViePC VPC100 all-in-one personal computer model optimized to increase productivity. It sports a 18.5-inch widescreen LCD displa and features an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of memory, 160GB hard drive capacity, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 802.11b/g WiFi module, built-in 1.3MP web camera, a 16x DVD burner, built-in stereo speakers, a 3-in-1 card reader, and the Windows XP Home Edition.
You’ll be able to get one next month at a price of $549.

Another affordable computing solution showcased was the ViewSonic ViePC Attached PC, which is a box that you can attach to the back of the monitor supporting VESA mounting. It costs $449 and can be used whenever you need to access your files and applications.
Like the previously described systems, the ViewSonic ViePC Attached PC runs with the Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor and comes with 1GB memory, 160GB hard drive, Ethernet LAN, 802.11b/g WiFi, VGA out, serial port, 4 USB 2.0 ports and Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition pre-installed.
