The 2010 Lotus Evora Sport Car

Lotus is known for its famous Elise, a small compact two-seater car that gives the driver a batman-like driving experience. It has been said that Lotus has not produce a new model of its class in 15 years, but this summer 2009, Lotus will be releasing a new model, the Lotus Evora. The Lotus Evora was revealed on July 2008, in the London Auto Show, giving the spectators a jaw-dropping reaction. It is a two door, mid-engine coupe bigger than the Elise, that features the Lotus design, to where spectators instantly recognize the Lotus DNA. The Lotus Evora offers its agile dynamics and high performance coming from the weight control more than its engine power. It has been said that the Lotus Evora is the first new Lotus that will be produce more than a decade.




The Lotus Evora is significantly bigger and more luxurious than the other current Lotus models. It is much roomier on the inside and is more accommodating, although is heavier than the Elise-based models. Expected pricing will be $80,000.00-90,000.00 and will be out in summer 2009. The Lotus Evora comes with a six-speed manual- transmission and also will come in an automatic transmission in the future. It has a V6 and will shortly exceed EU limits will require some modification.

The Lotus Evora will adopt a hybrid or more likely an all electric drivetrain while production is on the go. Although a lot have questions about its performance, the Evora won’t be a disappointment. It goes from 0-60mph in less than 5 seconds and has a top speed of 160 mph. Handlingwise, the Evora will meet all expectations. It feautures a 7-inch stack touchscreen assembly with satellite navigation system. It also comes with Bosch the ABS, traction control and stability control systems. Suspension given by Eibach and tires from long-time supplier Yokohama. The Lotus Evora is an eye-catching vehicle, so if you see one, make sure you bring your camera or better yet, just get one.
