Lenovo S12 gets faster with VIA Nano but less battery life

Do you prefer battery life or speed; would you be prepared to trade of battery life for some extra speed? Well Lenovo now offers their new Lenovo S12 netbook packing a VIA Nano ULV 2250 processor along with VIA Chrome9 HC3 graphics.

These are upgrades to the more usual Intel Atom and GMA combo usually found in Lenovo netbooks and should offer the user a touch more speed in certain application, although will cost you $50 more so commands a price tag of $550.

Of course the VIA Nano set-up will draw more battery than an Intel Atom so it might just pay to opt for another battery if you can locate one
