Sete Gibernau’s Controversy Color after Playboy on Honda LCR

Sete Gibernau’s team has released the new livery for his Ducati Desmosedici G̩ at Jerez della Frontera IRTA test. There are no the elegant white-gold-and black color scheme used during winter testing any more. The color now is a white- green-red and blue colored livery.

The team′s name now is Nuova Edificacion 2000, the replacement to the previous′ Grupo Francisco Hernando Onde 2000 Team. The team is also missing their second sponsor, Equatorial Guinea. But the hottest is the team color which is the same as the flag of the former Central African Spanish colony which run by a dictator Teodor Obiang Nguema, who rates 14th in the list of the World’s Worst Dictators was sponsoring a MotoGP bike. It was reported as a controversy around in Spain and fans around the world.

Over the years, MotoGP has had some sponsors of debatable ethical standards. Which is better/worst, the Playboy or the new Sete Gibernau’s color?

Francisco Hernando, a property developer, known in Spain as “El Porcero” is an extremely shrewd man probably wants to avoid any further bad press and someone investigating his business affairs has removed the Equatorial Guinea name thus thwarting any further public questioning, using the theory out of sight, out of mind.
