Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 Review at TrustedReviews

It’s slim, it’s sleek, it’s the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000. Sanyo’s latest attempt at handheld HD glory has produced a really nice looking device, but TrustedReviews’ Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 review puts it to the test to see what it is really all about.

The reviewer found the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 had a nice image quality when given lots of light, even though colors were oversaturated. The point is made that however grainy or pixelated the image may be, the VPC-HD1000 is still better than its predecessors.

However, autofocus and optical zoom were quite slow. The image quality was not quite as sharp as it could have been, although, relatively, it held up well when compared to other camcorders in its class.

It seems the Sanyo HD1000 did not quite live up to its specifications, although, in my mind, it lived up to what we have come to expect from Sanyo so far. That is, the camcorders Sanyo puts out always look great and have great specs, but when it comes to the real deal, they are lacking.
