Asus and Acer Suspend Android Netbooks?

Asus and Acer look to be backing off of any Android powered netbooks this year as both companies suspend development of new netbooks until the 1st quarter of next year which is when Intel plans to release their Pine Trail platform development with the Atom N450 processor.

Acer has also backed away from their expected dual boot Android platform and Windows XP OS machine as apparently they have found demand to be low.

Suspending netbook production is certainly a big step for both companies, however no doubt they will be concentrating on the CULV thin and light segment in the mean time.
